Quick summaries of where to spot the various banks and essential services around the city!
There are four major roads you can find pretty much every bank along, two in Brighton, one in Hove and one at the western edge of the city near Portslade station.
In Brighton - you've got London Road and the city centre (specifically from North Street up to Western Road/Churchill Square).
In Hove - along Church Road and up George Street, just off Church Road, you'll find all the main banks.
In Portslade - on Boundary Road, leading south from the station, you'll find HSBC, Natwest, Santander, Barclays and Lloyds.
There are 5 Royal Mail post offices around Brighton - one in the WHSmiths in the shopping centre, two in Kemptown, on St James's Street and St George's Street and two a bit further afield on Islingword Road and London Road. We've included a branch finder in the links below!
There are about 2 dozen launderettes and dry cleaners dispersed pretty evenly across the city, with the highest number in Kemptown. You're unlikely to be more than a 20 minute walk to the nearest one and usually you can expect to be much closer.
5 of the launderettes are owned by Brighton Launderettes, with typical prices of around £4-6 for a self service wash and £11-16 for a service wash.
A bit like laundrettes, PC and Laptop repair shops are well dispersed throughout the city. The city centre and The Lanes both have a handful of specialists, including a phone repair shop in the Churchill Square shopping centre. You've also got a couple at the other end of London Road, nearer Preston Park and plenty dotted around Hove and further out in Brighton.
