Here we've covered a selection of all the places not mentioned in our other guides, highlighting particular areas or places that are worth a visit, if you're heading that way! Sometimes it can be nice to escape the bustle of the busier areas in Brighton!

Eating around Hove

If you go further west from the city centre restaurants on Preston St (guide here), you can find a handful of excellent restaurants dotted around Hove, mostly on the streets between Western Rd and the seafront. The Gingerman and The Brunswick are two good examples, serving great food and not too far from town.

If you keep following Western Rd on into Church Rd, you'll pass plenty of places to sit down and eat as you walk through Hove, with Thai and Lebanese restaurants making an appearance. Most buses that run to town also run along Western Rd, so getting to any place along this road is easy enough.

Drinking around Hove

Like the cafes and restaurants listed above, Western Rd through to Church Rd hosts at least a dozen bars and pubs, including two wine bars and plenty of cask ale pubs.

As you move away from the city centre, places naturally tend to close a bit earlier, but the centre of Hove has a quieter, leafier feel to Brighton and is nice if you're looking for a drink away from some of the bustle!
