Now with a great covered market at once end, London Road follow plenty of bus routes into and out of the city and has seen a burst of new life with the renovation of the market and building of new student accommodation.
London Road and the Open Market both have a lot of cafes and places to grab a bite to eat, which you can find out more about here! Charity shops and discount stores take up plenty of spaces along the road, as well as the staples, with a Superdrug, Aldi and WHSmiths.
A new shopping highlight for this area is the Open Market, which has been recently completely renovated. It's actually an indoor market, dispite the name, and is filled with independent cafes, butchers, bakers, art shops and studios. Well worth a look for those who want to pick up things from local designers, producers and artists.
Alongside the Open Market is Baker Street, which has some of the overflow of independent shops, including an e-cigarette specialist, music store and pet shop!
