For the purposes of this document, ‘submitted content’ refers to any data communicated from you to us for purposes of publication by telephone, fax, email, or in writing, AND to any data transmitted electronically by you to the Daily Brighton web server.

By submitting any content, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

Submitted content must not be offensive, unlawful, threatening, abusive, libellous, indecent, misleading, nonsensical, infringe copyright or other rights of third parties or contain any other form of illegal or unpleasant material. Daily Brighton can take no responsibility for such content but will generally remove it from public access as soon as it is brought to our attention.

All submitted content which is intended for publication must be accompanied by contact details and be relevant to the page on which it is placed.

Free adverts must not be longer than 20 words. Only one copy or version of any advert is permitted at any one time in any one section. Misspelt or ungrammatical adverts may be removed or modified. Please don't enter your advert entirely in capital letters - we may remove it if you do. All adverts must be in English.

You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all the rights to the content that you submit; that the content is accurate; that the use of the content you submit does not violate this policy and will not cause injury to any person or entity; and that you will indemnify Daily Brighton for all claims resulting from content you submit. Any items offered for sale must be legally acquired and offered for sale in good faith.

Daily Brighton has the right but not the obligation to monitor and edit or remove any submitted content. Daily Brighton takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any content submitted by you or by any third party.

We reserve the right to store and reproduce any submitted content in part or whole, in print or online.

It is not permitted to send unsolicited advertising or anything that is not a genuine, individual and direct reply to an advert or any illegal or offensive content or any other form of "spam" through our masked email system or to email addresses or any other contact details displayed on our site.

Paid adverts must be submitted with your name and either your email address or phone number, or both. We will not pass them on to anybody else without your permission, nor will we contact you unless there’s a problem with your advert.

The size of display box advertising online is proportional to print size. Where demand for print advertising exceeds available print advertising space, Daily Brighton reserves the right to reduce the size of all printed adverts proportionally, which we consider preferable to increasing the frequency of print issues and thus raising prices both for Daily Brighton and the customer.

If you have submitted an advert to be included in a printed issue of Daily Brighton and that issue is full, we will offer you a space in a future issue, a conversion to a week-long online display, or a refund of the printed advert. If the printed advert was purchased at a combined price with a week-long online display, the refund amount will be the difference between the combined and online-only advert price.

You retain copyright on any logos or complete artwork submitted to us, but any artwork designed by us must not be used in other publications without our prior permission. Unless explicitly agreed otherwise, we retain copyright on any text or artwork published on our website or in print.

Daily Brighton may remove or modify any advert at our absolute discretion.
